Frequently Asked Questions

How much do custom homes cost?

The cost of your custom home will depend on multiple factors, including building materials, design preferences, and labor costs. Land and site-specific costs will also vary. For an estimate of your new home, we encourage you to contact us to discuss your vision.

How long does it take to build a custom home?

The time required for design, planning, and construction will vary depending on your preferences, the size of the home, and other factors. To learn more about our timeline, schedule a 15-minute consultation with our experts.

Can I choose from different floor plans?

Yes. Whether you’re looking to start from scratch or customize our existing floor plans, we’ll help you tailor your home design to meet your unique preferences. Think of our floor plans as a starting point for your custom home design.

Do I need to hire an Architect?

It’s up to you. When you work with Payne & Payne, you’ll have full access to our on-staff architect, Mike Caito. With over 30 years of experience, Mike hand-sketches plans to provide our clients with the best design and experience. We’re also happy to work with outside sources to craft your design.

Can you build on my property?

Yes. Before we start building, we’ll schedule a site visit to understand the lot boundaries and any excavation challenges. From there, we’ll work to set expectations with cost and functionality.

Can you help me find a lot?

Absolutely! We have access to the MLS, so we can help you search for land in specific areas, communities, and more. We also partner with local developers so you can gain access to exclusive properties that aren’t listed on the MLS. In addition, we can help you find teardown opportunities or tear down property on an existing lot at an efficient price.
